Not Alone

As we have discussed on this blog, Alec’s case is not the only one.  Many people cannot face the continued fight.  Again, for those that have followed I will be restating several things.  You have to relive over and over again.  I fault no one, but there are many others that are like me that cannot not keep on.  I have had the opportunity to find some wonderful new people that have broken and missing pieces of themselves.  There has always been a standing offer for others to share their stories through this blog,  to have a voice when it seems no one listens.  Below is one:

On 21 February 1981, my Uncle Jeffrey Richard Hughes was killed. To this day the crime is unsolved, and we would really like some answers in this case.

It occured a little after 1:00am, in the 100 block of North Frederick Avenue, Gaithersburg, Maryland. My Uncle was walking on the sidewalk or in the parking lot of Hershey’s Drycleaners, was hit and dragged over 60 feet from Frederick Avenue by a vehcile. He was then purposely ran over a second time by the same vehicle.

Just prior to this event, he had been involved in some sort of altercation at the Sand Trap Lounge, and was in good condition upon leaving.

I believe that this was a purposeful Hit and Run, rather than an accident. There was someone (a female) who did call in to report this to police as she witnessed it, but did not ever make contact again.

If anyone know anything of this crime. Please contact me directly or Montgomery County Police Cold Case Unit at 240-773-5070.

Please share – someone DOES know something.

I am looking to identify the young lady in both the Graduation photo and the photo with my Uncle.

It is urgent that she is identified. #coldcase #violentcrime #hopeful
