Mistake#1 Assuming the Case is A Suicide Based on the Initial Report
On October 30th, 2015 around noon and early afternoon, Alec texted back and forth about my training being over and traveling home. We texted about the list he was working on of what we would do when I got back. He told me about getting off work. All was good and we were making plans.
Alec joked with and loved on his little sister.
He spoke to his mother on the phone and was talking about work the next day.
At 10:11 pm We spoke on the phone and he came up with a plan to meet me the next day at our church outing and he would drive me because he knew I would have no sleep and that would be an excuse to take me to get my hunting license for the year. We said we loved each other and that he would meet me after work the next day. Someone walked in but didn’t know we were on the phone. I could hear them in the background.
I share this because at 11:00 pm the 911 call was made stating that “some guy shot himself”.
From the dispatch calls that have been acquired the scene was consistently referred to as where someone had shot themselves.
This is the critical information that is at the beginning.
Mistake#2 Assuming “The Suicide Position” At the Crime Scene: Part 1
As was clearly stated in Mr. Geberth’s excerpt, “Suicides are non-amenable offenses that are not recorded in the UCR and therefore are considered less important than other events.”
Think about this, a friend of yours tells you horrible things about someone you have not yet met. Then one day you meet them. For most people, your first interactions will be tainted by the cognitive association you have with that person based solely on what you had been told. Now imagine how much you would be influenced if you were told by numerous people negative things. You can see how being told a case is a suicide prior to arriving will influence all actions taken once on the scene. The problem with this analogy is time. You may have a chance to get to know the person and come to your own conclusions. In a suicide investigation, time is an enemy. Once you leave the scene or the more people arrive, it can change. Evidence can become lost. Opportunities to take samples disappear.
This is why there are clear directives for proper protocol for the death scene investigators.
In the next part some of these protocols will be documented then the evidence that was overlooked reviewed.
Election Season
I had every intention to start at the beginning and walk you through. There was one thing that I hadn’t taken into account. Elections. Most of our elected officials’ number one priority is job security.
This ties in hand in hand with my previous statement (that I stand behind) and that is,
” justice varies as decided by those administering it”
We have all witnessed those in authority treat people differently when it is their responsibility to be impartial and consistent. If you are one of the lucky ones that receives this preferential treatment, you probably don’t want to have this conversation.
Nepotism is evident in all parts of life. We naturally will lean toward those we know. The problem as this pertains to Alec is when you are a public servant and you are in control of services that are funded by the public and for the public.
People made fun of the south for the “good ole boy system”. In our current society it has been replaced by “networking”. The goal is the same, recognition so as to receive preferential treatment or attention. In the business world there are checks and balances in place to help regulate this, but we must admit it still occurs. When it does there are remedies. When it occurs with our elected officials, there is no recourse as I have learned.
Do you know who an Arkansas Prosecuting Attorney has to answer to? You might think the Attorney General, but you would be wrong. I will share that correspondence later.
From what I can tell, if they are not caught breaking a law, no one. It is totally at their discretion what crimes are prosecuted and which are not. It is also, as I have been told (correspondence to be shared later also), their discretion if a closed case is reinvestigated.
Imagine that kind of power over the justice system.
Why is this being brought up now? It is a fundamental theme that you will have revealed to you through this blog that runs rampant in Hempstead County Arkansas and beyond.
Photo Ops:
I can remember when our US Senators and Representatives thought a televised town hall would be a good idea. The problem was that once the first couple went totally sideways because those representing us have NO IDEA what we really are concerned with, they changed this immediately. Now if you watch a town hall it is more similar to a Broadway production than a conversation. Everything is staged. Facebook has become a powerful medium in this advertising. This afternoon Christi (Christina) McQueen Hempstead County Prosecuting Attorney had another one and I could not let it go. Please do not be so shallow as to believe scripted and sculpted advertising without digging into facts and actions.
Yes this blog will name names. Avoiding this is how we got to the place we are now. We dance and skirt and don’t deal with the ugly.
The ugly is: Alec passed away 2 1/2 years ago on October the 30th 2015 and I have left messages, copies of the evidence (that will be presented on this blog) and requested audience with Christi McQueen and have yet to have her discuss his case with me.
I wonder if she would return calls if Alec was a Senator’s son.
What if he was the son of one of her friends?
What if Alec was her son, would anything change?
You tell me, how would you feel if your child didn’t weigh high enough to even warrant 5 minutes in 2 1/2 years ?

Power of People and Prayer
We like to believe that things we know of such as this do not occur in our communities and neighborhoods by people we know.
This entry is a thank you to the many of you that must have shared and communicated what we have been discussing here.
Today I received a call from Prosecuting Attorney Christina McQueen. This was our first conversation and we must see what comes, but every journey starts with a step.
Everyone will be kept informed as this develops. Your continued support is cherished.

To those of you who do not support, I pray your eyes will be opened.
This short blog post is to inform that official notification was received today that Alec’s case will be reopened by Hempstead County. We are no where near the end of this quest, but have reached one of the first identified goals.
Again, thank you for your support and prayers.
Information will continue to be posted on this blog to help others, this is just the opening of a new chapter
