Who really cares anymore

Time and observance has revealed to me just how few people care about the same things that I do.

I have seen people that I thought had principle refuse to disagree publicly.

I have seen people lie to my face through omission, misleading, false promises and then stand up in front of world as a picture of character and ethics.

If anyone takes the time, this blog posted what was going on throughout the process of seeking answers around the death of Alec Littlefield. I put his name there because very few people even use his name. Someone dear to us did today and it was such a blessing. So many act as if he never existed.

I initially did not post on this blog everything out of caution to not interfere with an ongoing investigation. The joke is on me. The investigation is technically ongoing. My theory? If I do say something it will be used against me like now it is my fault and to block additional FIOA request.

Almost 8 years and the Hempstead County Sheriff’s office doesn’t keep me informed, doesn’t update, doesn’t communicate, doesn’t reply to emails, doesn’t give a ______

Recap:

Before anything was decided, right after Alec’s death, the Hempstead County Sheriff’s department spoke to me like I was a piece of crap. I was working with the investigator then I was GHOSTED. When I called his immediate supervisor to question why, I was basically told I was and idiot , didn’t understand how things worked, and the call did not end well. This same individual thought he would belittle me on our next call by reading the autopsy OVER THE PHONE to me. When the details were finally shared with me the angle of gun shoot was consistent with a right hand person. I questioned if he even knew Alec was left handed and that was the end of that call.

At this point items that were evidence start to be released to me including photos. They held his phone for further investigation.

His hat has a bullet hole but no blood.

There is no bullet hole in the roof of truck

There is blood spatter that is documented and reviewed by others that is inconsistent with the story told.

Lets move to evidence. We never received Alec’s clothes, belt, and boots. The funeral home disposed of them without permission.

The Gun: My daughter and I lifted a print from the magazine because the gun, which fired the last round, had a closed chamber as shown in the photograph in the passenger floor board.

The driver window had to be broken to gain access but the passenger door wasn’t locked.

Called in as “someone shot them self”. Handled as such – should have been fully investigated not ASSUME (verified from 911 call and dispatch call)

First on the scenes was Howard County but nothing they heard or observed included. From interviews – thanks to responding officers

FOIA found

• that the coroner forged the document sent in response
• the location and people had been involved in numerous underage drinking incidents
• no one called in as required to ASP Crimes Against Children

Additional learnings:

• ASP informed that failure to report past statuette of limitations and only a misdemeanor ( I feel they didn’t care)
• Interviewed a person on site and the statements given were done without people being isolated from themselves and others with no police monitoring

There are so many other items but this should give you a good idea why I have no faith in these people and why we will not go away.

I understand that nothing will bring Alec back and we may never know exactly what happened. We have evidence and it doesn’t add up to the “story” presented. The physical evidence cannot be denied but was never relevant.

There has been no accountability for the the investigative failures nor has anything changed that I have seen.

We deserve what we accept and I refuse to accept this. Alec deserves better. IF you don’t like that I am posting this I must ask why? If you wonder why people don’t have faith in the system, I can tell you why.
